Chairmanship Aspirant Pledges To Harness Internal Revenue

Barrister Tonnie Anoruewhom has pledged to harness the internally generated revenue of the Port Harcourt local government and the federal allocation meaningfully to take the metropolitan city of Port Harcourt local government area to the next level if elected into office as the chairman.

Barrister Anoruewhom stated this while speaking with newsmen in his office in Port Harcourt said he has a vision to create a transparent and credible council that a transparent and credible council that would be investor friendly.  He pleaded to ensure “people friendly administration and reduce the unemployment rate among the youths in the area.

The aspirant also promised to make sports development a source of employment, entertainment and recreation, stressing that as a grassroots sports promoter, he would use his wealth of experience to bear and ensure that every sports is revived and given a boost.

“It is my firm commitment that when elected as the Mayor of Port Harcourt, this vision and aspirations shall be translated into viable and verifiable programmes, God being my helper”, he stated, pointing out that with all embracing administration, all citizens would breath fresh air as they elect the man who had interest of the people at heart as it is a new dawn.

Barrister Anoruewhom, a non-stipendiary priest of the church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) with the Diocese of Niger Delta North further noted that when the righteous rule, the people rejoice, and solicited the full support of the people of Port Harcourt city.
