House Of Assembly Aspirant Extols Mrs Amaechi’s ESI
A House of Assembly aspirant, Mrs Peace Nwobudu Lucky-Ideozu, has lauded the efforts of the wife of the Rivers State Governor, Dame Judith Amaechi, for fighting poverty through her pet project, Empowerment Support Initiative (ESI).
Ideozu, who made the commendation in an exclusive interview with The Tide, said the Empowerment Support Initiative (ESI) was helping to eradicate poverty, restiveness check in and reposition women in Rivers State.
The aspirant, who is contesting for the Rivers State House of Assembly, Ahoada East 1, noted that she would partner with Empowerment Support Initiative (ESI) to fight poverty in her constituency if given the mandate to represent her constituency in the 2011 general election.
She said for the past three years, she and her team have been assisting women in providing free medical treatment to the less privilege in her area.
She, however, stressed the need for the people of her area and the entire state to give the programme the desired support as it would reduce poverty in the state to the barest minimum.
