Ake Hails Amaechi’s Monorail Project

Senator Wilson Ake, representing Rivers West senatorial district in the National Assembly, has described as commendable and pragmatic  the monorail project of the Governor Chibuike Amaechi’s administration.

The lawmaker, who spoke during an interview with The Tide at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, observed that Governor Amaechi’s development strides were geared towards collective interest that would have multiplier effect.

Ake said that considering the importance of transportation in the economic and social life of the people, the monorail is a holistic project that should be pursued to a logical conclusion alongside others that impact on the people’s life.

Describing Governor Amaechi’s administration as an eye-opener, the Senator noted that he has made the people of Rivers State proud as he has exceeded the expectations of the people within his three years in office.

According to the lawmaker, Amaechi has given the impression that we should not treat our development in the concept of the Third World mentality but that of international standard and urged the people of the state to encourage him to continue.

Senator Ake enjoined Rivers people to jealously guide all that are being provided for them as well as utilise the health and education amenities on ground bearing in mind that government cares for them.

He said the people should be happy with the governor as he has more vision for the state going by his performance within the short time in office, stressing that he has performed creditably.
