Employment Ministry Plans Big For GSM, Computer Repairs

The Rivers State Ministry of Employment Generation and Empowerment in collaboration with SOBALT KONSULT is billed to hold a training programme on Information and Communication Technology (ICT), GSM and Computer repairs as well as website development.

The programme scheduled to hold from July 9th to 23rd is targeted at youths of Rivers State.

In an interview with the Senior Consultant, SOBALT KONSULT, Mr. Balafama Tuboinengi, he stated that the training is intended to empower the trainees and make them self-reliant.

He explained that the training which will last from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. each day will develop the skills and knowledge of the trainees in the stated areas.

“The essence of this training is to enable participants due the skills so acquired to the point of owing their own business enterprises”, he said.

In a press release signed by the Permanent Secretary, Hon. Monday Ekekentah, advised interested persons to pick up the form at the rate of N500.00 at the Ministry of Employment Generation and Empowerment.

The ministry is vested with the responsibilities of training the youths to acquire skills in preparation for job opportunities, and also liaise with corporate bodies, companies for the employment of qualified youths in the state.
