NFF Denounces Facebook Impostors

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Media Officer, Ademola Olajire has said that the two groups on social networking site, Facebook claiming to represent the Nigeria Football Federation are run by impostors and are neither the official, nor authorised pages of the body.

The two Facebook groups, Nigeriaff Ademola and nigeriafootballfederation, were set up in recent months and already have thousands of followers.

The first has nearly two thousand fans, while the second has just over a thousand, but Olajire says they have no authorisation or connection with the NFF.

“We don’t know the people running those pages. As far as we are concerned, they are impostors and anybody who does any business with them, does so at his own risk,” the NFF Media Officer said this weekend.

Both groups have the correct physical address and telephone numbers of the NFF, but Nigeriaff Ademola has a different email address to the NFF’s web-based email address.

Olajire added that the NFF will create its own Official Facebook page in the coming days.
