S/Eagles To Play Thanda
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will play South African First Division club, Thanda Royal Zulu as part of their build-up to this month’s African Nations Cup.
Team media co-ordinator, Idah Peterside told Tidesports source that a Premier League club would have been first choice. “Unfortunately, most of the PSL teams are on break and unavailable, so we have to play a First Division club,” he said.
The Eagles arrived in Durban on Thursday morning and had a light training session in the afternoon. But that changed on Friday morning, as the team were put through a grueling strength and agility session.
The team was given the evening off for New Year’s Day celebrations with a barbecue organised for them at the hotel.
