Danagogo Inaugurates In-House Study Group

A five man In-House Study Group to study past reports on chieftaincy review in the state has been inaugurated by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Dr Tammy Danagogo.

Performing the inaugural ceremony in his office recently, Dr Danagogo charged members of the committee to take their appointments as crucial and urged them to discharge their assignment professionally.

According to him, the reason for setting up the study group was to help government tackle problems arising from chieftaincy matters in the state, citing previous committees set up by previous administrations which were not ratified.

He assured the members that the present administration of Governor Chibuike Amaechi would ensure that their recommendations were taken seriously.

Responding on behalf of the members, the Chairman of the Committee,  and Permanent Secretary in the office of the Head of Service, Mr Gogo Isong expressed gratitude to the commissioner for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to be committed and loyal, promising to work harmoniously with the ministry.

Other members of the committee include, Barrister Chima Obinna vice chairman, Dr Vincent Amadi, secretary, Mr Daa West, member, and Barrister Abraham Derefaka, member.
