Joining the list of personalities who have condemned the negative reactions of Nigerians on President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua’s state of health, Comrade Val Emeka Okunega has sued for more caution and instead called for collaborative prayer sessions of all patriotic Nigerians for the president.

Comrade Okunega, who runs a political pressure group in Delta state noted that he has initiated plans to organise a holy fast and prayer session for the president as a mark of statesmanship and patriotism.

According to him, the holy fast and prayer session would hold in offices, market places, churches, schools and homes. He urged Christians, muslims, pagans and indeed all citizens continue to pray hard for the sake of Nigeria’s good.

He however warned those calling for the president’s resignation due to ill health to desist from it as it could amount to total collapse of peace in the polity and mostly in the Niger Delta region.

Okunega also enjoined Nigerians calling for the resignation of Vice President Goodluck Jonathan not to dare into what would result into a “political error”.

The political activist noted that the seven-point agenda of President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and threepoint agenda of Delta state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan  has a clear mission and vision for all Nigerians and Deltans, and therefore called on Nigerians to be careful in making pronouncements and dealing with issues bothering on the state of the country.
