…Plans Oil Producing Areas Dev Commission
The Abia State Government is to set up a commission for the development of oil producing communities in the state.
Governor Theodore Orji, said the state Hosue of Assembly is working on the bill for the establishment of the Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ABSOPADEC).
The Governor dropped the hint when members of the host communities of the Nigeria Oil and Gas paid him a courtesy visit in Umuahia.
Leader of the delegation, Alfred Ogbolugbo said the group plans to mobilise more than 150 youths to man surveillance on the pipelines.
