Nigerians To See Improved League Season

Head of Information and Communication Unit of Nigeria Premier League, Joe Amene, says that the 2009/2010 Globacom Premier League season would be better than the previous one.

Amene who made the statement in a radio programme at the weekend noted that the previous season was okay except for a few hitches. He said that the league which was rated third best in Africa has been adjudged the best last term.

According to him, information is very important in football. Consequently media officers need re-orientation to know their dos and don’ts.

He continued that seminars should be organised for clubs’ media officers from time to time in order to equip them adequately for the job expected of them.

“We are planning to make a website functional this season. Being number one in Africa, our information need to be seen world-wide,” Amene said.
