Following the recent\u00a0 redeployment of some senior officers of the Nigerian Navy across the country, the Naval Shipyard, Port Harcourt, Rivers\u00a0 State, now has a new officer.<\/p>\n
He is Rear Admiral\u00a0 O. E. Ekwe, who takes over from Rear Admiral D. B. Boer, who is now the Admiral\u00a0 Superintendent, Naval Dockyard, Lagos.<\/p>\n
Until his new posting, Rear Admiral\u00a0 Ekwe was the commandant, Nigerian Navy Engineering College , Sapele, Delta State.<\/p>\n
It was learnt that the new\u00a0 officer reported at his\u00a0 duty post on Tuesday while handing over formalities are in process.<\/p>\n
The Tide<\/em> gathered in a statement by the Director of Information, Nigerian Navy, Commodore Kabiru Aliyu that the former Chief of Naval Standard and Evaluation,\u00a0 Rear\u00a0 Admiral\u00a0 J. O. Aikhomu is now the flag officer, commanding Eastern Naval\u00a0 Command.<\/p>\n It was further gathered that Rear\u00a0 Admiral O. B. Ogunjimi, the former\u00a0 flag officer commanding, Eastern Naval command, is now\u00a0 the Chief of Training and Operations, Naval Headquarters, while Rear Admiral I.E Ibas is now the\u00a0 flag officer commanding, Western Naval\u00a0 Command.<\/p>\n Others are Rear Admiral J. N. Amaino, who was moved from Admiral Superintendent, Navy Dockyard\u00a0 to Director of Marine Engineering, Naval Headquarters; Rear Admiral J. B. Oladimeji has been\u00a0 redeployed from Chief of\u00a0 Policy and Plans, Naval Headquarters to Defence Headquarters as the Chief\u00a0 of Administration; Rear Admiral U. O. Jibrin, from Chief of\u00a0 Logistics, Naval Headquarters, now the Director of Training, Defence Headquarters, Rear Admiral K. O. Komolafe, from Chief\u00a0 of Accounts\u00a0 and Budget\u00a0 to Group Managing Director, Nigerian\u00a0 Navy Holdings; and\u00a0 Rear\u00a0 Admiral\u00a0 E. O.
