Obi who presented the materials on behalf of the Director General, Ziakede<br \/>\nPatrick Akpobolokemi to the Executive Director State Emergency Management<br \/>\nAgency (SEMA) Dr. Justine Ijezie said NIMASA was in Anambra to sympathize with<br \/>\nthe Government and people of the State in this trying period.<\/p>\n<p>Barrister<br \/>\nObi said the Management of NIMASA in her responsiveness extended its Corporate<br \/>\nSocial Responsibility to victims of the flood disaster in Anambra by providing<br \/>\nrelief materials worth\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">N<\/span>21m as a way of bringing succor to the<br \/>\naffected victims.<\/p>\n<p>In<br \/>\na statement signed by the deputy director, public Affairs, Hajia Tumaka Lamidi<br \/>\nand made available to The tide in lagos, said that Barrister Nwabueze C. Obi<br \/>\nexpressed deepest shock at the extent of damage and devastation done by this<br \/>\nflood, the number of lives lost and farmlands destroyed. He prayed to the<br \/>\nAlmighty God not to allow such disaster befall the State and the entire nation<br \/>\nagain.<\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\nExecutive Director State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) Dr. Justine Ijezie<br \/>\nresponding on behalf of the Executive Governor Anambra State expressed his<br \/>\nsincere appreciation to Management and Staff of NIMASA for empathizing with the<br \/>\nstate in its trying period.<\/p>\n<p>He<br \/>\ntold the NIMASA representatives that it was a big surprise to see the Agency in<br \/>\nthe State and that the gift they presented was commendable. He also urged other<br \/>\nFederal Government Agencies and wealthy individuals to do same.<\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\nSEMA boss went further to appeal to the Management of NIMASA to also identify<br \/>\nwith them in the post flood period.<\/p>\n<p>Relief<br \/>\nitems distributed by NIMASA to the nine affected Local Governments with 21<br \/>\ncamps include; Mattresses, Rice, Beans, Indomine Noodles, Blankets, Treated<br \/>\nMosquito nets, Plastic Buckets, Salt, Bathing Soap, Detergents, NIMASA Vests,<br \/>\nBundles of Second hand Clothes (O.K), Tissue paper etc.<\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\nteam visited the nine largest camps in the State, one in each of the affected<br \/>\nLocal Government Areas.\u00a0\u00a0In all the camps visited the Local Council<br \/>\nChairmen and other officials were on hand to receive the delegation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has donated relief materials worth over\u00a0N21m to victims of the flood disaster in Anambra State.
