Some subscribers in Rivers State has said that they have
\nconcluded plans to dump the Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN) for other
\nnetwork providers due to its failure to improve on services.<\/p>\n
The subscribers who spoke with The Tide in Port Harcourt on
\nWednesday said the services of MTN became worst since last week.<\/p>\n
According to one Emma Ogo, since last week efforts to
\nrecharge or make calls have been an uphill task due to poor network.<\/p>\n
Ogo said the network provider (MTN), is only interested in
\npromos that will accrue profit to it, saying that it was high time subscribers
\nin the state dumped them for others.<\/p>\n
He explained that the poor service provider may be a ploy by
\nthe company to successfully retrieve the balance of their 500 percent airtime
\nat midnight.<\/p>\n
Ogo who is a lawyer regretted that concerned authorities
\nhave failed to regulate the operations of MTN, adding that MTN should quit the
\ncountry if it is tired of business.<\/p>\n
Another speaker who gave her name as Princess Iyie, said the
\nnetwork provider has no regard for its subscribers.<\/p>\n
Iyie, who also vowed to change to other network, maintained
\nthat MTN should leave the country or be forced to improve on its services.<\/p>\n
She reiterated that the teeming subscribers in the country
\nespecially Rivers State do not enjoy the value of the money used to recharge
\nMTN\u2019s airtime.<\/p>\n
The middle aged lady, also suggested that a ban should be
\nplaced on MTN not to sell more SIM cards until efforts are made to enhance its
\nservices.<\/p>\n
It would be recalled that since Saturday last week,
\nsubscribers of MTN have been finding it difficult to make or receive calls.<\/p>\n
A source in the company, who pleaded anonymity, said the
\ncompany is planning seriously to ensure that its services are improved in no
