{"id":38037,"date":"2012-03-05T02:35:39","date_gmt":"2012-03-05T06:35:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thetidenewsonline.com\/?p=38037"},"modified":"2012-03-05T02:35:39","modified_gmt":"2012-03-05T06:35:39","slug":"sanitation-court-convicts-36-offenders-in-kuje","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetidenewsonline.com\/?p=38037","title":{"rendered":"Sanitation Court Convicts 36 Offenders In Kuje"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An Environmental Sanitation Mobile Court in Kuje Area Council, FCT has sentenced 36 persons to three weeks imprisonment each for failure to observe the FCT monthly environmental sanitation exercise.<\/p>\n<p>The convicts were, however, given an option of fine of N3, 000 each by Magistrate Mabel Segun-Bello who also discharged three minors.<\/p>\n<p>Segun-Bello\u00a0warned the convicts against further violations of the monthly sanitation exercise, noting that failure to abide by the law would attract stiffer penalty.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Tijani Ado, Head of Environmental Sanitation Department of the council said the\u00a0exercise\u00a0was specifically organised to demolish shanties within Kuje town.<\/p>\n<p>Ado\u00a0called on residents of the council, especially the offenders to ensure full compliance in subsequent exercise to avoid embarrassment.<\/p>\n<p>He\u00a0said\u00a0the council would not relent in its efforts to\u00a0enlighten residents on the needs to observe the exercise and ensure\u00a0clean surroundings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An Environmental Sanitation Mobile Court in Kuje Area Council, FCT has sentenced 36 persons to three weeks imprisonment each for failure to observe the FCT monthly environmental sanitation exercise.
