The Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) has said that no infraction had been recorded on the Trans Niger Pipeline in the past month.<\/div>\n

The company stressed that incidents of vandalism had reduced significantly across it’s operational areas while intelligence gathering and stakeholders engagement have continued to heighten.<\/div>\n

The General Manager, Community and Stakeholders Relations, PINL, Dr. Akpos Mezeh, stated this at the company\u2019s monthly Stakeholders\u2019 Engagement Meeting with representatives from Rivers, Imo, and Abia states, held in Port Harcourt, at the weekend.<\/div>\n

Mezeh described the situation as a direct reflection of improved synergy between PINL and it’s host communities.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Recall that the Federal Government had recorded a major boost in crude oil production in April 2026, achieving 99.2 per cent of its 1.5 million barrels per day production quota approved by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).<\/div>\n

The latest production figures released by the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC showed that the country\u2019s crude oil output rose by 7.58 per cent compared to March 2026 levels.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
According to the commission, peak crude oil production in April reached 1.85 million barrels per day, while the lowest production figure for the month stood at 1.46 million barrels per day.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Also, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, (NNPCL) reported improved performance in the oil and gas sector, posting about N276 billion profit after tax in March 2026 amid rising production and gas output.<\/div>\n

Reacting to the development, the PINL Official attributed the improved output to enhanced protection of oil and gas assets and stronger collaboration among stakeholders in host communities<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Mezeh said the production increase reflected the impact of stability and cooperation along pipeline corridors.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In his words, \u201cThese figures are not ordinary statistics. They are direct evidence that stability, cooperation, and effective protection of pipeline infrastructure produce measurable economic benefits for our nation and our people”.<\/div>\n

He said host communities, surveillance teams, traditional rulers and security agencies played critical roles in safeguarding the Trans Niger Pipeline and Eastern Gas Network facilities.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Mezeh reiterated PINL\u2019s commitment to sustaining community engagement and social investment programmes targeted at improving livelihoods in host communities.<\/div>\n

He further\u00a0 called for continued support and unity among stakeholders in sustaining the gains recorded in the sector for an enhanced\u00a0 nation\u2019s oil production output.<\/div>\n

In his reaction, the Paramount Ruler of Emohua Kingdom in Rivers State, HRM, Eze Seargent Awuse, expressed satisfaction with the operations of PINL, acknowledging the company\u2019s effort in helping the country\u2019s revenue base.<\/div>\n

He said: \u201cI\u2019m satisfied with what PINL is doing to help this country. During the last sitting you rolled out scholarship for our youths and today you have rolled out women empowerment. We owe you thanks also for securing the infrastructure that is feeding the nation.<\/div>\n

“Your company has in very significant ways made it possible for more oil to flow with less vandalisation\u201d.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
On his part, King of Eleme Kingdom, HRM, Dr. Philip Obele acknowledged the company for restoring sanity in the oil sector and making Nigeria profit from oil production.<\/div>\n

He insisted that pipeline vandalism has become a thing of the past in his kingdom due to PINL\u2019s surveillance activities.<\/div>\n
