The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has disowned an online recruitment portal being circulated in social media, describing it as fake and non-existence.
\nA statement by the EFCC spokesperson and Head, Media & Publicity urged members of the public to disregard such recruitment as the commission has not advertised to do so at the moment.
\nHe added that such information was the handiwork of unscrupulous individuals whose trade mark is to defraud innocent and gullible Nigerians.
\nThe statement read: \u201cThe attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has again been drawn to a spurious recruitment portal: www.efcc.gov.ng\/efcc\/ careers, notifying \u201call eligible applicants\u201d of a scheduled employment drive starting from May 23, 2023.
\n\u201cThe Commission has no such recruitment portal and neither is there any employment schedule at the moment.
\n\u201cMembers of the public are enjoined to ignore the recruitment portal. Promoters of such employment scam are warned to desist from their fraudulent schemes or risk arrest and prosecution by the Commission\u201d.
\nMeanwhile, the commission said a new Zonal Commander for Port Harcourt Zonal Office, Ahmed Mohammed Ghali, has been appointed.
