The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has threatened to embark on an indefinite strike following protracted talks for improved welfare of staff with no results at sight.
\nThe union regretted that eight months after its three-day nationwide warning strike, no \u2018significant achievement\u2019 had been recorded.
\nNRC also deplored government\u2019s handling of the ongoing Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike, observing that the current administration\u2019s \u2018no work, no pay\u2019 policy was disingenuous.
\nIt appealed to the Federal Government to, swiftly, resolve the impasse in the overall interest of the nation.
\nIn a statement signed by its president and secretary, Innocent Luka Ajiji and Segun Esan, NRC challenged the government to rescue millions of Nigerian youths that are suffering from this unnecessary test of might, saying that \u201can idle mind is the devil\u2019s workshop\u201d.
