Samuel, in Port Harcourt, yesterday, said that the approval was given by the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike.<br \/>\nThe statement read in full: \u201cHis Excellency, Chief Nyesom Wike, has approved the immediate commencement of payment of outstanding gratuity, monthly pension arrears and death benefits of retirees in the Rivers State Public Service.<br \/>\n\u201cThe exercise will be done in batches. The first batch is for all those who had retired up to June 2014. All the affected retirees and next of kins for deceased retirees under this batch are requested to come to the Ministry of Justice Conference Hall for physical verification from June 15 to 23, 2022.<br \/>\n\u201cThey are to come with their retirement identification cards, and other relevant documents.<br \/>\n\u201cPlease, note that this exercise is strictly for only those covered under this first batch i.e. retirees up to June 2014\u201d, the statement added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Rivers State Government has approved the immediate payment of outstanding gratuity, monthly pension arrears and death benefits of retirees in the state.
