Cvhub4Africa offers free training to 2,500 youths on software development.\u00a0The Computer Village Hub4Africa (Cvhub4Africa) on Monday said it would\u00a0offer free training\u00a0 on software \u00a0development and other emerging technologies to no fewer than 2,500 Nigerian youths.
\nA software developer and CEO of Cvhub4Africa ,Mr Austin Agbakor, told newsmen in Lagos that the training\u00a0 would\u00a0 equip youths\u00a0 with the emerging\u00a0 technologies\u00a0 including\u00a0 robotics,\u00a0 artificial\u00a0 intelligence\u00a0 and software development.
\nAgbakor said that such knowledge\u00a0would make the youth employable and empower them to be entrepreneurs\u00a0 especially\u00a0 in the era of digitalisation, online business\u00a0 and remote working.
\nHe said that the training\u00a0would\u00a0also increase productivity, performance, bring about uniformity of work processes automation as well as\u00a0help reduce wastage.
\nAccording to him, the lapse in technologies in some institutions\u00a0and also some government\u00a0agencies informed the training\u00a0which is to bridge the gap of unemployment\u00a0and poor technological development.
\n\u201cThe gap is there in so many government agencies and other institutions.
\n\u201cWe have witnessed many people who are not equipped enough; \u00a0but for Nigeria to increase in productivity, we must be passionate about information and resources that can be utilised by the people.
\n\u201cThere are lots of potential everywhere, it is just the framework that is missing hence\u00a0 the training\u00a0 to bridge\u00a0 the\u00a0 gap,\u2019\u2019 he said.
\nAccording to him, CVHUB4AFRICA offers a range of free IT courses and \u00a0has decided to teach Nigerians for free on how to develop software, manage computer networks, maintain vital systems and more.
\nHe said that some have already started learning in the hub.
