{"id":222868,"date":"2019-12-18T04:11:38","date_gmt":"2019-12-18T03:11:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thetidenewsonline.com\/?p=222868"},"modified":"2019-12-18T04:11:38","modified_gmt":"2019-12-18T03:11:38","slug":"court-verdict-soku-chiefs-lg-boss-others-laud-wike-want-immediate-implementation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetidenewsonline.com\/?p=222868","title":{"rendered":"Court Verdict: Soku Chiefs, LG Boss, Others Laud Wike &#8230; Want Immediate Implementation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The people of Soku Community in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State have commended the State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike for pursuing the boundary dispute between the state and its sister state, Bayelsa, to the logical conclusion.<br \/>\nThe spokesman of the Community and environmentalist, Christian Otiasa lauded the Governor amidst jubilations by the people in Port Harcourt yesterday.<br \/>\nAccording to him, the judgment is another major landmark achievement that would keep the name of the Governor in the minds of Kalabari people for ever.<br \/>\n\u201cThis is the second area Governor Wike has made the people of Kalabari happy; we the people of Soku Community, particularly, are very happy and grateful to him for the courage to pursue the matter to this level.<br \/>\n\u201cWe believe that Governor Wike and the people of the State are equal to the task, the Kalabari people are also equal to the task. We will continue to pursue the case justly until justice finally prevails, if Bayelsa State decides to appeal the judgement\u201d, Otiasa said<br \/>\nThe environmentalist also commended the immediate past Governor, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Ameachi, who he said is the initiator of the matter.<br \/>\n\u201cWe will not fail to thank the immediate past Governor Rt. Hon. Rotimi Ameachi, who initiated the matter. Though he only succeeded in the one of Andoni, the one of Kalabari was due to the circumstances against at the time.
