The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, is among President Muhammadu Buhari\u2019s delegation to Egypt for the Peace and Development Forum holding in the city of Aswan. Other governors on the delegation are Ahmadu Fintiri and Mai Mala Buni of Adamawa and Yobe States respectively.
\nThe Minister of Defence, National Security Adviser and Director-General of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA) are also among the team to Egypt.
\nThe delegation jetted off to Egypt on Tuesday, December 10, for the Forum, which holds from December 11 \u2013 12, in Aswan.
\nAn initiative by the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in his capacity as the chairman of the African Union (AU), the forum seeks to address the interconnections between peace and development in Africa, while promoting Africa-led solutions through strengthening policies and practices.
\nGovernor Obaseki, who has pioneered far-reaching reforms in basic education, primary healthcare, industrialisation and urban development in Edo State, will be contributing his insights from investment banking and public policy formation during the sessions in Aswan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
