The Comptroller-General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede\u00a0 has been\u00a0 urged to do all within his reach to make the process of issuing passport easy.
\nThe Paramount\u00a0 ruler\/Nye New Eli Rumuogba, HRH (Eze) Temple\u00a0 N.Ejekwu, the Eze Ogbanu Iji-nu-Ede, said this in a chat with The Tide in Port Harcourt.
\nHe said that the call is now necessary as to allow for a better service delivery in Immigration.
\nEjekwu, who is also a public Affairs analyst, pointed out that orderliness in NIS would\u00a0 project\u00a0 the country’s image in the international community.
\nThe legal icon,\u00a0 revealed how the state Governor, Chief Nyesom\u00a0 Wike has been\u00a0 supportive of the state command of NIS and\u00a0 said they\u00a0\u00a0 won’t\u00a0 be excused, if they perform\u00a0 poorly.
\nHe recalled how the governor\u00a0 recently aided\u00a0 in\u00a0 updating\u00a0 the passport house in the state,\u00a0 saying that there was need for high expectation from the command in the state.
\nOn how to promote the service, he called on the Comptroller-General, to detail his\u00a0 men in the\u00a0 state on how\u00a0 to use the\u00a0 media and members of the public to fish out eggs in the service.
\nUpon such\u00a0 achievement, he said that\u00a0 there would\u00a0 be efficient\u00a0 service delivery\u00a0 in the system.
\nAccording to him, every act of\u00a0 subjecting Nigerians into any form\u00a0 of hardship in acquiring passport or other services from NIS must be eliminated.
\nThough, he said that there was no known poor service recorded by the command\u00a0 in the state,\u00a0 but maintained that\u00a0 it would be proper to be on its toes going by the economic viability of the state.
\nHowever, he has said that\u00a0 since the introduction\u00a0 of the Information\u00a0 and Communication Technology (ICT) to NIS, that its services have so far\u00a0 improved tremendously.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
