\nsistant (SSA) to Governor Nyesom Wike on Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Engr William Idoniboye, has been urged to initiate programmes that would enhance development in the department.
\nThe leader trainer, Endwell Communications, Engr Ogirinya Igwe, said this in a media chat with newsmen Wednesday in Port Harcourt.
\nHe said if the SSA on ICT could introduce some new packages, that the department may boost the economy of the state.
\nIgwe who is a trained electronics engineer, said ICT programmes are the most globally sought after events due to their robust nature.
\nAccording to him, almost 85 per cent of countries in the world use ICT in all their transactions, both politically and other wise.
\nHe tasked the governor\u2019s aide on what he described as an all-inclusive ICT farm that will accommodate all classes of people in the state.
\nThe telecom consultant, said another way to succeed in ICT programmes was to involve the youths.
\nHe noted that since some ICT programmes are somehow taskful, young people are the best suited for the system.
\nThe ICT analyst, also called on the SSA to offer the best advice to the state government that would place it above others in the area of ICT development.
\nFurthermore, he appealed with the state Governor, to make ICT a priority by ensuring that the department was equipped with the latest ICT materials.
\nIt would be recalled that Idoniboye, had earlier promised to run a youth friendly ICT department so as to bring ICT development closer to the people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
