Education Commissioner Lauds STAN Executive, Appreciates Support
The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Dr. Peters Nwagor, has lauded the Executive members of the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), Rivers State Chapter, for their solidarity visit following his recent appointment as Commissioner.
He conveyed his gratitude yesterday when a delegation of the association, led by its Vice Chairman, Dr. Ibifiri Blessing Pollyn, paid him a courtesy visit at his office at Government Girls Secondary School, Rumuokwuta.
The Commissioner, who also serves as the State Chairman of STAN, thanked the executives for their show of support and goodwill.
He assured them of his unwavering commitment to serve with integrity and dignity, while aligning his efforts with the vision of the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, to reposition and transform the education sector in the state.
Earlier, Dr. Pollyn described Dr. Nwagor as an exceptional and result-driven leader, expressing confidence in his capacity to leverage his wealth of experience to advance the education sector in Rivers State.
She further commended the State Governor for deeming Dr. Nwagor worthy of the appointment and offered prayers for divine wisdom and guidance as he steers the affairs of the Ministry of Education.
