OMULGA Chair’s Dev Strides Excites Group
A socio-political group, Grassroots For Good Governance (GFGG), has expressed excitement over the development strides achieved by the Chairman of Omuma Local Government Council, Hon. UchechukwuObasi, within two months in office.
The National Coordinator of GFGG, Mrs. Princess Joy Ugueze, stated this while speaking with newsmen in Eberi, the headquarters of the Local Government Area (LGA) over the weekend.
Mrs. Ugueze stressed that Hon. Obasi has shown that he is prepared to serve his people, noting that the various projects being undertaken by his administration within the first one hundred days in office are a testament to his purposeful leadership.
She noted that the Omuma Council boss has, within the two months of his administration, made significant progress in his LGA through the initiation of people-oriented projects that have a direct bearing on the people.
According to her, the completion of the construction of the modern primary school in Umuagiloke and secondary school in Egbelu communities, which were abandoned by previous administrations, is a hallmark of his administration’s determination to fast-track the developmental needs of the area.
The National Coordinator praised the Chairman for the additional projects his leadership has proposed across the LGA, adding that the group is convinced that he will put the LGA on the development map before the end of his one year in office.
Ugueze stressed that Omuma will become a center of attraction and infrastructure development before the end of the present administration, noting that the Omulga Council boss has the education of his people at heart.
“The Chairman has built standby electricity lights in Omuma, and there is ongoing empowerment for the people of Omuma”, she stated.
She called on every Omuma son and daughter to come back home and support the Chairman in his efforts to better the lives of the people and advance the development needs of the area.
The GFGG leader described the Council boss as tested and trusted, and assured him of the readiness of her group to work with him, especially in grassroots mobilization and support for the success of his administration.
