NLNG Awards Postgraduate Scholarships To Seven Nigerian Graduates
The Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited has awarded fully funded postgraduate scholarships to seven outstanding Nigerian graduates to pursue master’s degree programmes in various universities in the United Kingdom.
The awardees, selected after a rigorous process, will commence their studies in the 2025/2026 academic session and join the distinguished network of NLNG scholars equipped with world-class education and critical skills for leadership and professional excellence.
General Manager, External Relations & Sustainable Development, Sophia Horsfall, disclosed this at the award ceremony, highlighting the company’s commitment to building capacity for Nigeria’s future through human capital development.
“These scholars represent the best of Nigeria’s talent, and we are proud to support their journey towards global excellence,” Horsfall said.
The scholars will pursue master’s degrees in fields such as Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy Management, Advanced Chemical Engineering, and Marine and Offshore Engineering, among others.
Horsfall noted that the scholarship is part of NLNG’s vision to inspire a sustainable future by investing in the education and development of the next generation of leaders and innovators.
The NLNG Postgraduate Scholarship programme has produced 523 graduates since its inception, creating a network of professionals driving impact in industries and communities locally and internationally.
The scholarship covers tuition, living expenses, accommodation, travel, and other academic-related costs.
The award commemorates NLNG’s 35 years of incorporation and 25 years of successful operation.
Apart from the overseas scholarship scheme, NLNG also sponsors undergraduate and post-primary scholarship schemes, as well as intervention programmes in education, infrastructure development, health, and economic empowerment.
