OSPAC Boss Sues For Peace
The General Commander of the Organised Security and Peace Advisory Committee (OSPAC) in Rivers State, Comrade Emeka Onyeocha, has sued for peace in the entire Ogbaland in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, and re-echoed the essence of peace as a panacea for unaccelerated development.
He made the assertion at Erema during the royal visit of Oba of Ogbaland to Egi Clan.
Recall that Oba of Ogbaland, His Eminence, Nnam Obi 11 visited Egi Clan as part of plans to familiarise with his subjects.
The royal visit was greeted with great nostalgia by the people as it marked the beginning of greater chapter in the history of the people.
The OSPAC general commander said peace remains imperative towards the economic, social and cultural advancement of the people of the land.
He pleaded with the youths especially to embrace peace and work for the overall interest of the land.
Onyeocha urged everyone in Ogbaland to come together and do away with rancour as the interest of the land should come above every other interest.
While expressing gratitude to the Oba for taking genuine steps to bring the people together, he urged all and sundry to forge a common front towards giving maximum support to the Oba to move the land forward.
He hinted that efforts of the outfit had been yielding fruits since inception in the land and beyond, saying, there is no going back on their common goal to ensure total peace and tranquility in the land.
He said as a way towards achieving this they have enormous sacrifice to protecting the land hence government needs to show much concern over their efforts by putting in place mechanism to ensure their welfare is accorded attention
He insisted ospac had great sacrifice that could move government to assist them as most of them decided to pay Supreme sacrifice of restoring peace in the land
He also commended the passing into law the transformation of federal college of Education technical Omoku into Federal University of Technology ,saying it is great milestone capable of cresting job opportunities in the entire Ogbaland
He said this was made possible in the atmosphere of the existing peace
