Rivers State Indigenes Get New Executives

The Association of Rivers State Indigenes in South Africa, has elected a new executive that will pilot the affairs of the body for the next three years with Chief Sam Umetor as President and Chief Austin Njoku as Vice President respectively.
Others elected include Hon Loveday Vincent as Secretary _General, William Amangabara, PRO,Senibo Richard Ogolo, Deputy Secretary,Obi Baba, Treasurer and Eze Wali was elected as the new Organising Secretary.
Declaring the the results of the election, the chairman, 2025 Independent Committee, Hon Sunny-Wenike Douglas Ibojekere, commended members of the association for their peaceful disposition during and after the election, and described the election as peaceful and the best in the history of the association.
He urged the new executive to be magnanimous in the discharge of their duties and ensure they carry everybody along and should not take the confidence reposed on them as a joke but be able to justify the confidence as entrusted on them.
Earlier in his acceptance speech, the newly sworn-in President of the association, Chief Sam Umetor while receiving his certificate of return pledged to take the association to a higher positive dimension among other areas of interest, and assured that his executive will work as a team.
Chief Umetor promised to run an open door administration and consult the people, and enjoined every member of the association to support the new administration so as to take the association to greater heights.
He assured that the executive under his watch would justify the huge confidence reposed on them, and ensure that the objectives of the association are achieved.
