…Refutes Nwanosike’s Appointment As RIWAMA Sole Administrator

Rivers State Government has warned those carrying fake news in the State to desist from it or face the wrath of the law.

The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibibia Lucky Worika, gave the warning in a statement signed by the office Head of Press, Juliana Masi, in Port Harcourt.

He called on the residents of Rivers State to be apprehensive of fake news peddlers who intend to misinforming the public against the good intention of the administration.

The SSG also refuted the alleged appointment of Mr Samuel Nwanosike as Sole Administrator of Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) by the Sole Administrator of the State, Vice Admiral (Rtd.) Ibok-Ete Ibas.

Prof. Worika further debunked the fake rumours of 10,000 persons recruitment into the state civil service, saying there was no time the Administrator gave such recruitment directive in the State.

He urged everyone to disregard unfounded speculations and rely on official government sources for accurate information.

“We wish to categorically inform the good people of Rivers State and the general public to ignore the fake announcements

“Be informed that all official communications from the Office of the Administrator of Rivers State have appropriate channels through which they are circulated, pay attention to such channels,” he stressed.

He added that the State Government remains steadfast in its pursuit of a peaceful, prosperous and united State.
