IAWPA Honours Rivers NSCDC Commandant

The Commandant of the Nigerian Security And Civil Defence Corps  (NSCDC), Rivers State Command, Joachin Okafor, has been appointed as an Eminent Peace Ambassador and Global Diplomat by the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA).
According to The Tide’s source, this prestigious appointment recognises Commandant Okafor’s exceptional leadership and security prowess.
According to the Rivers State Director of International Association of World Peace Advocate( IAWPA),  Dr  Juliet Nwokocha, Commandant Okafor’s appointment is based on his outstanding security and leadership abilities.
“As an Eminent Peace Ambassador, he is encouraged to continue rendering humanitarian services, ensuring peace, security, harmony and safety for all, particularly the less privileged,” she said.
Speaking shortly after being given the appointment,  Commandant Okafor expressed gratitude for the appointment and promised to continue providing security services and maintaining peace and stability in Rivers State and Nigeria.
Also commenting on the appointment, Dr  Isaac  Christian commended Commandant Okafor’s leadership qualities , which he said are being recognised across the Niger Delta region.
“Under his command, the NSCDC, Rivers State Command is actively confronting security challenges, including illegal  oil bunkering. “Commandant Okafor’s dedication to peace and security has earned him recognition and respect,” he said.
Christian also said the  appointment has been met with enthusiasm, and Commandant Okafor’s commitment to humanitarian service is expected to have a positive impact on the community.
