Media War Unnecessary In A’Ibom-Enoh
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has stated that the State does not need any unnecessary media war at this point.
“I am not ready for any media war which is not necessary. My work will testify for the people to see the level of development in Akwa Ibom State”, he said.
Eno, who made this known during the swearing in of commissioners recently in Government House, Uyo, said there is no need for media war.
He said his media team should understand that his administration would not fail to provide dividend of democracy for her citizens for which they will testify what government has done, especially in terms if development of the rural areas.
He told his media team to hold their peace and continue enlightening the people on what government is doing and also ensure that their information are accurate for the benefit of the state
The Governor said the media is the only means for the people to be informed on what government is doing in order to understand that government is there for them as a people.
He assured people of the State and residents for peaceful environment to enable them to do their businesses.
Eno also used the medium to commend the new Commissioners and advice them to make sure they carry out effective service to the people.
He charged them to always assist one another among them for the Staye’s “Arise Agenda” to succeed.
