Commissioner Applauds Council Chairman’s Dev Strides
The Rivers State Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Hon. Charles Bekee, has applauded the Chairman of Gokana Local Government Council, Hon Monday Dumiye, for his dedication to delivering impactful, people-centred projects in the Local Government Area.
This recognition comes as part of the celebrations marking the first 100 days in office of the Dumiye administration.
Speaking at the commissioning of the newly reconstructed and remodelled Siminalayi Joseph Fubara Administrative Block at the council secretariat in Kpor, Hon. Bekee commended Hon.
Dumiye for embracing the development vision championed by the Rivers State Governor.
“The chairman’s commitment to the welfare of his people and his ability to align with the progressive vision of our dear Governor is exemplary.
The reconstructed administrative block is a clear testament to his passion for transforming the local government area and creating an environment that supports effective governance,” he said.
In his address, Hon Dumiye emphasised the significance of the administrative block and other projects undertaken by his administration within its first 100 days in office.
“This administrative block represents more than just an infrastructure; it symbolises our unwavering commitment to improving governance, fostering development, and prioritising the needs of the people of Gokana and the council workers,” he said.
Addressing critics, Hon Dumiye highlighted the resilience of his administration and its determination to overcome challenges.
“Despite the efforts of detractors, our achievements have proven our focus and determination.
We remain committed to doing even more for our people in the days and months ahead.”
