RSG Partners Coy To Train 10,000 Rivers Youths In Skill
Rivers State Government has signed an agreement with Del-York Creative Academy Limited to train youths in skills acquisition, digital and creative industry that will gainfully employ them anywhere in the globe.
The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ovy Chinedum Chukwuma, disclosed this when the State Government, represented by the Commissioners for Education and Justice signed a five years agreement with Del-York Creative Academy at a brief ceremony held in Port Harcourt.
Dr. Chukwuma said, the training, which will last for five years, is expected to benefit over 10, 000 youths, thereby making them employable locally and internationally, adding that the aim is to curb unemployment and youths restiveness.
In his words, “when the training commence, the story of unemployment and youth restiveness will be a thing of the past in the state, and thanked the State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, for the initiative .
Also, the Chief Operating Officer for Del-York Group and Del-York Creative Academy, Mr. Ikenna Oguike, said his company is an internationally recognised academy that trains youths in highly sought-after skills that can afford them opportunities in the global market and creative industry for all types of jobs.
He thanked the State Government for taking the lead in training youths and changing the narratives in building their capacity.
He also commended the state Commissioners for Education and Justice for all their efforts in putting things in place for the agreement reached.
