PH/Owerri Road Users Express Relief Over Killing Of Kidnap Kingpin

Motorists and other Road users plying Port Harcourt/Owerri Express Road have heaved a sigh if relief, following the killing of one Ezihuo, who was suspected to be the brain behind killings and kidnapping at the axis.
The deceased is said to be an ex-member of a local Vigilante group known as OSPAC, who later turned to a criminal gang leader.
The Tide learnt that the suspected notorious gang leader met his waterloo when one of his kidnapped victims put a distress call through to some security operatives who swiftly responded.
It was further gathered that the suspect, upon sighting the security agents, opened fire, but was over powered by a superior gun fire which resulted to his death.
The deceased, it was further learnt, hails from the area and had been into heinous crimes after his disbandment from the OSPAC.
His  corps has  been deposited in the mortuary by the Nigeria Police Authority.
Meanwhile, the  Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Council, Barr, Isreal Abosi, has reassured indegenes and residence of the LGA of his commitment towards ensuring safety and security of lives and property in the area.
Abosi also promised road users and commuters operating in the area of hitch free movement before, during and after the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Since inception of the present administration in the area, criminal activities have been on a remarkable decline, according to sources.
The killing of Mr. Ezihuo and dismanting of the suspected kidnapping camp behind Elele Prison Farm recently by the Council’s Security agents has been said to be a major security achievement of the Council Chairman.
