Fubara Gets Kudos Over Grassroots Dev

Simplified Elders Council in Omuma Local Government Area of Rivers State has commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his commitment towards grassroots development.
Chairman of the Elders Council, Chief Cyril Nwogu said this in a press release made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt.
Nwogu who was reacting to the commissioning of the Okehi-Umuola- Omuma road by Governor Fubara said the Governor’s commitment to the development of the rural areas is unparalleled in the history of the State.
He said the situation has given both Omuma and Etche people a sense of belonging, adding that the road will not only address insecurity but attract development and boost economic activities in the area.
The Elders Council chairman also commended the Governor for promising to complete the Eberi-Omuma-Owaza roads that link Omuma Local Government Area through Oyigbo to Port Harcourt.
He also commended the Governor for finding Dr George Nwaeke suitable to serve as Head of Service, Rivers State,Uche Maximus Nwafor as Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources and his support in the nomination and election of Hon.Reginald Promise as Chairman of Omuma Local Government Council.
The elder statesman also commended  the youths of Omuma for their peaceful disposition and appealed to them to protect government facilities in their areas.
He also advised communities against further burning of tyres on the road inorder to give it the lifespan of 20 years and above.
It would be recalled that Governor Fubara had on the 3rd of March 2024 during the Omuma Liberation Day promised the completion of the road.
