Hon Nwigbo stated this in a chat with sports journalists recently at the Birabi Memorial Grammar School (BMGS), Bori while declaring open the tournament among the 19 wards in the area.
According to him, the tournament will make the LGA great again, adding that the BMGS football pitch bring back memories of old days when he was playing active football.
The LGA boss explained that  he used to play football on BMGS pitch and  remembered how beautiful it was then saying that football is a unifying factor as the tournament will move people from one ward to another to create friendship.
“ Making new friends is the key to this  competition because if you have a friend in Bagha and Gwara through football you will be visiting each other day by day, friendship will be cultivated.
The competition will foster the existing peace in the area.
“This is what we want for khana people and to crown it all if you remember somebody called Joseph Yobo, he used to play football at Igbokwe field D/line in Port Harcourt but  today he is our football hero.
Yobo is the person we all should look up to as our star.
“ In course  of this  tournament we may  discover some good talented players once you are discovered you will be groomed and I tell you the sky will be your limit.
“ There are too many ways to kill a rat not everybody will make it through politics”, Hon Nwigbo said.
