We’re Ready To Work With Fubara – Rivers APC Chairman
The reinstated Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Chief Emeka Beke, has declared the party’s readiness to work with the State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Beke made the declaration while speaking on Arise TV’s Morning Show yesterday.
He stated that the APC, under his leadership, would collaborate with Governor Fubara if the Governor extends a hand of fellowship to the party.
He said, “I worked with Rotimi Amaechi and he is my leader, and he has no link with Fubara.
“If he extends a hand of fellowship to APC, we will work with him and develop the State. We can’t continue fighting, Rivers is going backwards.
“You can’t have two governors in one State, even if your own son is made Governor, you should allow him to function.
“We have finished the politicking, it’s now time for governance”.
Recall that Governor Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, have been embroiled in a bitter power struggle months after the governor assumed of office in May 2023.
The rift allegedly centres around control of the State’s political structure.
