The Head Coach of Future Strikers Football Academy (FSFA) of Port Harcourt, Solomon Davis has said his players are currently having intensive training ahead of the forthcoming U-13 Youth Sport Federation Of Nigeria (YSFON) competition.
He stated that the training was to enable them perform impressively and reach the final, and consequently win the trophy of the tournament, slated to hold in Port Harcourt.
Davis said this on Monday in an exclusive interview with Tidesports shortly after their training session.
According to him, for the past six years, he has been with the team. He knows what the team is up to and in YSFON competition hence his players are training hard for the tournament.
“As you can see, we are training very seriously because of the Under-13 YSFON competition coming up in Port Harcourt.  For the past six years, I think we are not doing badly.
“What we are planning for is to win a major tournament like this one. We are going to play (YSFON).  Some of my players are very eager going for the tournament,”Davis said.
He pointed out that such competition is not easy to win but with their level of preparation and training, he is sure they will come back victorious.
“Yes, I know we will meet good teams but preparation is very important.  My players have showing some level of seriousness, so, with that, I am sure we are going to come out victoriously,” he stated.
