Church Render Humanitarian Services To Rivers , Akwa Ibom  Others

Rivers , Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Cross River States enjoyed the All African Service Project (AASP) by Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints, humanitarian services in their Church’s stakes and districts in Nigeria.
The humanitarian service which was held on the 17th August this year is  an annual event usually carried out by members of the church to assist the host communities at different locations of the church every year in Africa.
Consequently, the church simultaneously carried different selfless services in all Stakes that include Akwa Ibom, and Bayelsa States, Cross River and Rivers States
In Port Harcourt Nigeria Choba Stake, this year  focused on environmental clean up and tree planting within the six zones which comprises Stake center, Rumuosi, Rumuiji, Abonnema branch , Ahoada, Ogbogu and Omoku ward.
Two companies Dubic Engineering Limited and Gezora Commercial Enterprises  partnered with the church to make the exercise a huge success as they provided tippers and pay loaders to evacuate the debris and also provided some entertainment.
 In Abonnema members went to the motor park and did thorough sanitation, while in Ahoada Branch same services were carried out  in  streets.
At Ogbogu Branch, Oboburu Community. Omoku Ward and Rumuji Branch, members also came out impressively to carry out  same services, these selfless services rendered were appreciated by various communities.
The Tide gathered that the AASP services were also carried out at the Stake center km 50, East West Road besides Cool Wazobia Info. FM, Rumuosi,  as elder Sancho Chukwu presided over the All African Service Project at the Stake Centre, while Second Counsellor in the Stake President Paul Oranye conducted the activities.
Others Bishops who were present are;  Godspower Uzih and his counsellors, KingsleyNjekeu and his counsellors, ThankGod Enyindah and his counsellors , Martins Ipalibo Flag and his counsellors, Harrison Ottah U and his counsellors, Nsikan John Udoh and his counsellors, President Ifeanyi Ogbowu and his counsellors and President Savio Festus Eme and his counselors.
Various Stakes, Wards and Districts in Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and  Cross River States equally carried general sanitation, while in some Stakes there was renovation of building, provision of water and replacement of toilet facilities.
Speaking the Station Officer of Okporo Police Station SP. Abiodun Awoyemi, expressed appreciation to the Church, saying that he is surprised for such gesture coming from a church..
According health is wealth , saying that clean environment is what gives human beings long life most times.
” I appreciate the Church for cleaning our environment nothing that was Police environmental. I advice other churches to emulate them” he said.
