Group Canvasses More Support For Fubara Over Rivers Dev
A non-governmental organisation, the Patriotic Forum of Niger Delta (PAFOND), has urged more support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara to enable him do more for Rivers State.
The group, which made the call during a courtesy call on the Rivers State Commissioner for Chieftaincy/Community Affairs, Hon. Charles Amadi, in his office, also commended the Governor for his peaceful disposition despite distractions from political opponents.
The National President of the Forum, Comrade Owo Udoh, said his organisation which has membership across the Niger Delta will continue to preach peace and unity in the region.
He said the forum is supporting the Governor because of his excellent programmes for the people.
“Our mission is to associate with any genuine leader of the region whose policies are in line with the mission of PAFOND which is anchored on peace, unity, welfare and development of the region”, he said.
He told the Commissioner that they were in support of the current administration under the “God sent and people oriented” governor of the state so that he would continue to take Rivers State to greater heights.
Comrade Udoh thanked Hon Amadi for receiving the group in his office and assured of their support.
In his response, the Commissioner For Chieftaincy/Community Affairs, Hon Charles Amadi, thanked the group for their support for Governor Fubara.
Hon. Amadi described Governor Fubara as a man of peace who means well for the people of the state.
He also called on the group not to relent in preaching the message of peace and unity among the people of the Niger Delta.
