Church Demostrates Care For Members … Dondates Food Items, Cash
Gateway International Church has demonstrated its determination and willingness to uplift the living condition of people, particularly its members, as it recently donated different food items and cash to some members.
Lead Pastor of the Church, Pastor George Izunwa, made the donation shortly after the Church’s Special Thanksgiving to mark the first quarter of 2024 at its Headquarters in Port Harcourt, recently.
Izunwa, who was represented by Pastor Mathew Ogara, said the gifts were part of the Church’s programme’s packaged by the Benevolence Department of the church.
According to him, the essence of the donations was a deliberate decision to help members, especially single mothers and widows as well as young men and women to enable them start one form of business or the other.
He further stated that the gesture was based on different categories of the beneficiaries.
He also noted that part of the reason was to assist in the registration of some students in different forms of examination and payment of school fees.
The Man-of-God, however, enjoined the beneficiaries, especially those who received chegues, to make judicious use of the opportunity, so that with time, they also can help others.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Madam Tarino Oguka, and Kenneth Chukwunonye, expressed gratitude to the Church, especially the Lead Pastor, who, they said, approved the funds.
They assured the church that they will not disappoint the church for remembering them for such benevolence
