New DPO Seeks Collaboration With Stakeholders
The new Divisional Police Officer ( DPO) of Aluu Police Station in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, CSP Joy Umejuru, says she is seeking collaboration with relevant stakeholders to fight crime and sustain the existing peace in the area.
As part of measures to achieving this, the new DPO has visited, the nine communities to seek collaboration, partnership and first hand information in carrying out her duty.
CSP Umejuru was accompanied by her senior officers recently to familiarise herself on the effective fight against crime and bringing result.
Some of the critical stakeholders the new DPO visited included the traditional institution, CDC, PCRC, youth bodies, women groups, local vigilante, businessmen and hoteliers aimed at effective and efficient service delivery to the residents of the ancient community.
During the visit, she emphasised on collaboration,working together to sustain peace which the community has witnessed.
CSP Umejuru said ithe fight against criminality deserves collaboration among stakeholders as fighting of crime remains everyone’s business.
She commended the various stakeholders for according her necessary support during the visitation, saying she would not leave any stone unturned in the fight against crime.
She thanked the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu for the opportunity given her to serve in the capacity of a Divisional Officer.
She said Rivers people and residents are proud having CP Disu as Commissioner of Police following his unmatched track records.
She promised to complement the good effort of the CP in promoting peace and social order in line with the community policing of the Inspector General of Police.
She vowed never to compromise her professional calling and the trust on her by the CP.
