The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon Barasua Wilcox, has described Governor Siminalayi Fubara as a divine project and choice for Rivers State’s liberation from political slavery, hardship, sectionalism, greediness and under-development.
Speaking with newsmen in Bonny  Island recently on the new phase of development by the Fubara -,led administration, Hon Wilcox maintained that the emergence of Governor Fubara on the leadership saddle of the state has translated into the quality of service delivery that has become the reality in the past one year.
She said that people of Bonny Local Government Area were solidly behind his people -oriented development programmes, especially in the rural areas of the state, where the governor has constructed and commissioned various vital development projects, including roads and other critical infrastructure.
The Chairman of Council also urged all those who failed in their quest to build better bridges of development in the past years of democratic governance since 1999 till date,  to learn their lessons on the role of humility, love for the people and above-all, the fear of God in all their dealings.
The LG boss, however, enjoined the political detractors of the governor in the state to turn a new leaf, adding that the emergence of Sir Fubara was divinely orchestrated to liberate Rivers people from political stagnation, marginalisation, slavery and  high-handedness of some selfish political leaders.
Hon. Wilcox, who congratulated the Governor and his team on their achievements within one year in office, admonished other leaders at various levels in the state to emulate the leadership quality, peaceful disposition and people-oriented mindset of Governor Fubara, instead of causing unnecessary  distractions and political crisis in the state.
She further urged Rivers people not to ignore the destructive elements who are out to create tension and disaffection.
