Secondary Schools Football Tourney Final Holds In Bayelsa

Chairman  organising committee of  Chief Lawson Ayakoroma Football Tournament among secondary schools in Bayelsa State, Character Christian Okokoriko has disclosed that the  final of the competition would hold on Thursday.
The final which is expected to attract sports personalities and other stakeholders was scheduled to hold at Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, between BDGS Yenagoa and CCSS Agbura.
Okokoriko who is also the President of League  Character Clubs(LCC), said this in a statement which was made available to Tidesports yesterday, in Port Harcourt and  called on school principals, students and coaches to attend the final as it promises to be exciting and interesting.
According to him, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State who is one of the grand patrons  of LCC is expected to be the special guest of honour.
He equally said that the occasion will also be used to honour some notable people in Bayelsa State.
The President pointed out that  following their humanitarian services in State, the LCC has decided to give them awards for the world to see.
They are Character  Millionaire Asamgba, Chairman, State Post Primary Schools Board; Mr. Simeon Peter Okene, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Education; Mrs. Grace Tamabo Alagoa, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youths and Sports as well as Character High Chief Lawson Ayakoroma.
Others are Mr. Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade, Chairman, Bayelsa Table Tennis Association; as well as the Chairman, Bayelsa State Council of Traditional Rulers, Character HRM King Bubaraye Dakolo, the Agada IV Ibenana Owei of Ekpetiama.
Meanwhile,  the third place match between GSS, Ovom and CSS, Sagbama would be played 2pm on same day.
