Atwo-time House of Representatives candidate on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Kingsley Hart Fubara, has declared that God sent Governor Siminalayi Fubara to serve as the number one citizen of Rivers State in order to liberate the people.
Hon Fubara said emphatically that it remains the only reason he and his teeming supporters are returning to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He noted that having witnessed what transpired at the Supreme Court’s final ruling, he was perplexed when the State PDP Chairman, Mr Aaron Chukwuemeka, who was supposed to address the press, exited through the back door because his expectations on the apex court ruling otherwise were dashed .
He said looking at the final verdict of the Supreme Court, it shows that Governor Fubara is God-sent, hence, the need for everyone to rally round him to succeed.
Hon Fubara made the revelation during the Simplified Movement’s thanksgiving rally at the Industrial Unity Field, Bonny last Saturday.
He declared that the thanksgiving was well deserved following the electoral victory of the Governor and the litigations that accompanied it, saying from what Rivers people are seeing, Governor Fubara came to serve for the benefit of everyone.
“I join hands with Bonny people and well-meaning Rivers people to support him succeed. Bonny LGA in the past 16 years had never seen any Rivers State government project, aside the Abalamabie uncompleted road project done by former Governor Chibuike Amaechi, alleging that all former governors had running contracts at Bonny LNG but had failed to site any project in Bonny.
Hon Fubara said he had no doubt on the ability of the governor to change the narrative as Bonny leaders had requested.
“As one of our illustrious sons, Ibani by blood and flesh, we are counting on him and we are ever ready to support in all ramifications,” he said.
He thanked Bonny people for rising up to the occasion in solidarity for their own regardless of political divide.
