Amember of the Rivers State Pensions Board, Betty Agala, has declared that Abua/ Odua Local Government Area of Rivers State is a Simplified local government in the State.
Agala, a stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Leader of ward two made the declaration during the Simplified Movement’s thanksgiving rally in Abua, last Friday.
Agala, also one of the women leaders in the local government said the essence of the thanksgiving cannot be over-emphasised following the numerous litigations that the Governor faced before emerging victorious.
“We are here to meet, dance and celebrate to the glory of God for seeing our dear Governor through. As you can see Abua/Odual is Simplified. Ward four is Simplified. We are here to show capacity and reaffirm our support to the winning Governor and also assure him that we can deliver election victory to him even in the nearest future. What you see here today can tell you that Abua/Odual has been taken over by the Simplified Movement. We have taken over the entire LGA, being the reason everyone came out en mass for SIM as he remains the only alternative. The celebration of the victory of our leader is worthwhile. It shows that we are winning hands down any time election is conducted here,” she said.
She showered encomiums on the Governor for his achievements so far, and urged Rivers people, especially the women to pray and show total support to the Governor as he delivers people-oriented projects to the poeple.
She urged the governor to consider the appeal made by their leaders to industrialise the area.
“We are grateful for the appointments of our sons and daughters into sensitive positions and we will do everything possible to appreciate him. The women of Abua/Odual are united in this cause of seeing our God-given Governor succeed”, she said, and urged everyone to pray and support him as he means well for the people.
Former Rivers State House of Assembly member, Hon. Aye Pepple enjoined other Ethnic groups in Rivers State to show support to their son as they have done in the past.
He said the recent award on peace to Governor Fubara underscores the fact that Rivers State is peaceful, which should be maintained for investors and other businesses to thrive in the State.
