S’Court Verdict On Fubara’s Election, Victory For Rivers People -Royal Father

The Amanyanabo of ancient Ele Kingdom in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru (Apina VII) has described the affirmation of the election of the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, by the Supreme Court as victory for all Rivers people.
King Okuru, who said this in a statement made available to newsmen, congratulated Governor Fubara for the electoral triumph and expressed the confidence that the victory will not only translate to democratic dividends for the people of the State but would as well entrench good governance in the state.
The monarch also lauded the Governor for his display of maturity in handling the political turmoil that would have plunged the State into crisis while thanking God for restoring the mandate of the people and ensuring peace in the State.
According to the King, “it is now time for Governor Fubara to consolidate and live up to expectation by moving the State further to greater heights”, stressing that his activities in his few months in office have proven that he has the interest of the State and its citizens at heart.
The royal father called for all hands to be on deck in giving the Governor every necessary support for more development strides in the State.
While felicitating the Governor on his birthday anniversary, the monarch prayed God to continue to guide, protect and give him the courage and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the State to the glory of God and mankind.
King Okuru pledged the support of the Ele Divisional Council of Chiefs and the people of the Kingdom and expressed optimism that Ele Kingdom will experience rapid development and recognition in his administration.
