Monarch Tasks Appointees On Peaceful, Purposeful Governance
The Eze Oha Evo III of Evo Kingdom, HM King Leslie Nyebuchi Eke, Jp, Eze Gbakagbaka, has charged the newly sworn in 18 Senior Special Advisers to ensure that their entrance will tally with his bid to uphold a peaceful and purposeful reign in the Kingdom.
Eke gave the charge shortly after the 18 SSAs were assigned portfolios at his palace in Woji in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Wednesday.
He said to ease governance within the 33 Communities in Evo Kingdom was part of the reason for the decision.
According to him, the opportunity is purely a call to duty and time to displace any personal life style.
“All of you are professionals. We have Businessmen and Women among you. I have no doubt that you will deliver on your promises to the benefit of the people and entire State”, he said.
Describing Evo as peaceful and rich in diversity, the King beckoned on those who are Business-oriented to consider Evo in their graph, saying that their investment will be secured.
The Monarch further charged the SSAs to fashion out ideas that could help in rendering better traditional governance to the people.
In his speech, the Nye Nwe Eli Rumuobiokani, HRH Eze Samuel N. Ejims-Wokpara (KSC), appealed to the appointees to consider the need to move the Kingdom forward via the positions.
Ejims-Wokpara, who corroborated the statement of King Eke, urged them to brace up and ensure that the Kingdom is placed towards its rightful position.
The Monarch, who lauded the lofty idea of Ejims-Wokpara, said such was not common and must be guided jealously.
Senior Special Adviser on Human Rights and Public Affairs, and Human Relations, Chief Jackson Omenazu, who responded on behalf of others, assured the Monarch of their determination to work.
Omenazu also noted that it can not be business as usual as they will be all out to right the wrongs in the Kingdom for the benefit of all.
