Group Hails Governor Fubara over Supreme Court Judgement
A Niger Delta-based socio-political organization, iPatriotic Forum of Niger Delta (PAFOND), has hailed Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalaye Fubara, for his victory at the Supreme Court.
The group, which said this in a press release made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt, described the victory as well deserved.
Speaking earlier with newsmen, shortly after the group’s new year general meeting, National Chairman of the organization, Comrade Owo Udoh, said the judgement was a true reflection of the peoples mandate for Governor Siminalaye Fubara.
According to him, the group, with membership cutting across the Niger Delta, joined millions of Nigerians in rejoicing with the Rivers State Governor and the good people of Rivers State over the Supreme Court judgement that affirmed the election of the Governor.
He said the development will now enable Governor Fubara to concentrate on governance with the view to delivering dividends of democracy to Rivers people.
Comrade Udoh, however, advised the Governor not to be distracted by the antics of some armchair critics, but to be focused on creating conducive environment that will encourage investors to come to the state.
He further described Governor Fubara as a God fearing person that has the people at heart, expressing confidence that the Governor will deliver on his election promises.
The National Chairman also urged the people of the state to support the government, adding that PAFOND “is ready to work and stand by the Governor come rain or shine”.
