‘With SIM, Rivers Is In Good Hands’
A hunan rights activist and businessman, Mr Ifeanyi Evans-Osi, has said with Governor Siminalayi Fubara, the State and its residents are on a good footing.
Evans-Osi, who made this known at a media chat in Port Harcourt, yesterday, said both the State and its resources are not only in a good hand, but in the hands of a multiplier who has the capacity to take the people beyond their dreams.
“Governor Siminalayi Joseph Fubara will work hard to get us the best economy and development in the state”, he said.
According to the activist, who is and astute business man, the Governor is the best thing that has happened to the State in the past two decades since Nigeria switched over to democracy.
Re-echoing the words of former Governor of the State, Dr. Peter Odili, he noted that Fubara’s first dance steps in the State are in order and should be allowed to put in more.
“We are Rivers people, we know how to observe good dancers. When a good dancer throws the first step, you will know. From my personal observation as a good Ikwerre traditional dancer, I think Sim knows the game”, he said.
Describing the Governor as a good party man, he said he is liked by both youths and elders of the State.
He called on Rivers people not to renenge on their avowed decision to support the Governor and added that evil does not last.
He also expressed regrets that “some people could still play dog, given the time we are in”, and warned against further distraction against the Governor in order to avoid the wrath of the people.
“One man or group of persons’ interest can’t overide that of the entire State. The State belongs to us all and we will do everything within our reach to defend it”, he said.
He reassured the Governor of total support from the Ikwerre axis of the State, saying he will “not hesitate to do the needful in the event of any opportunity”.
